How to install Joomla 1.5.x on Hostmonster using Simple scripts

I can't believe how easy this was.

Installing Joomla 1.5.x on Hostmonster using Simple Scripts was a breeze.

Simple scripts is a bunch of installation scripts you can now access from you Hostmonster account. Actually you don't need instructions to install Joomla 1.5.x with Simple scripts because it's, well, simple.

But anyway here's how to install Joomla with Simple Scripts (if you need it):

First click on the Simple scripts icon in your Hostmonster control panel.

You will get a screen like this:

Head on down to the content management section and click on 'Joomla'.

The next screen is basically an information screen showing what your about to install with screen shots and links to the main site for whichever product you are installing. It will also show other installations you have done and give options for those.

Just click 'Install now' to continue installing Joomla.

The next screen is the second to last screen of the Simple Scrips Joomla installation process. On this screen you will actually have to do a couple of things (but not much really).

In the screenshot below, the highlighted green area shows your Hostmonster main domain. This will be correct and you don't need to change it.

In the empty box to the right you will need to type some things in. You have two options:

Leave it blank if you are installing Joomla into your main domain
Put in the name of the Hostmonster addon domain where you would like Joomla installed. You can check this by logging in to your Hostmonster account and clicking on the file manager icon within the Hostmonster control panel. In the public_html directory you should see a folder with the same name as your addon domain. If you addon domain is (for example) www.google.com then the folder will be called “google” and that's also what you type in the second Simple Script box under “Where would you like Joomla installed?”. If you cant see a folder by that name in public_html of your Hostmonster main domain, check with Hostmonster about how to set an addon domain up.

NOTE: The will be a warning given (as shown in this screenshot) if you already have files in your main domain. Once you type in the name of you addon, this will disappear (its just that it defaults to your main Hostmonster domain, and Simple Script want to make sure your not going to accidentally overwrite an existing website with your new Joomla install).

Next give you site a name (this can be changed later).

Now put a tick next to the lines signifying you agree to the terms and conditions of Joomla and Simple Scripts (NOTE: follow the links and read them first, they aren't that long, Simple Scripts terms of service is almost as simple as their installations).

Finally click 'Complete' and wait.

In a very short while, Simple Scripts will have installed Joomla 1.5.x in the location you specified (it took about 1minute for me). You will be presented with a screen like this:
