How do I remove "Template Design © Joomla Templates | GavickPro. All rights reserved."

Template-Design-@-Joomla-Templates GavickPro All rights reserved

Removing the "Template Design © Joomla Templates | GavickPro. All rights reserved." wasn't that obvious. I scratched my head for a while because there is no button to turn it off. It turns out removing the Gavick pro Template design copyright is easy.

Features tab of Gavick template

Copyright text box of Gavick template

  1. Login to your Joomla administrator backend and click on the Gavick template in Extensions>Template Manager.
  2. Once the template options page appears, locate (and click) the "Features" tab
  3. Now put your text in the copyright box. Basically if the box is empty the "Template Design © Joomla Templates | GavickPro. All rights reserved." message will appear, but once you update it with your own text, that will be reflected on the site.

Remeber that as Gavick templates evolve you may not always find that the copyright text box is in the same place (in the features tab), however it is likely that in future templates, the behaviour of adding your own text to the copyright textbox will still remove the  "Template Design © Joomla Templates | GavickPro. All rights reserved." message.
