Putty alternative for Apple Mac (os x)

Putty wont run on Mac OS X

If you just switched to mac os x and are looking for something similar to putty, help is at hand.

The Apple Mac OS X has a built in alternative! Terminal.

Start terminal by clicking on you Mac applications folder and then click the utilities folder, you can find terminal there. Or you can just click the magnifying glass at the top right of your mac which opens spotlight and type "ter", Terminal should appear so you can click on that.

How do you use terminal as a putty alternative and access SSH? Easy, just type:
# ssh This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

You will need to find the username and server address from you hosting provider, but it will be something like: # ssh This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

When prompted, enter your web server password. If this is you first time connecting you may be informed "the secure fingerprint is unknown", just type yes to continue.

There you go easy isn't it! On a Mac you don't need putty at all!
